The Carter Burden Center for the Aging
The Carter Burden Center provides assistance to seniors in the upper east side of Manhattan through their diverse programs. Often people come to the Center in crisis. They might have received an eviction notice or need help in ending an abusive relationship, or they might need the social opportunities and activities available at the Carter Burden Luncheon Club. Dedicated staff, local undergraduate and graduate students, and over 1200 volunteers help to address these needs.
With a staff of 35 people, the Carter Burden Center needed guidance with their IT systems. IANet conducted a technology audit and provided several recommendations to improve their conditions. The audit was helpful to the Center in raising additional funds to implement some of IANet’s key recommendations. IANet also supported the Center in selecting a new systems maintenance provider in order to eliminate system crashes and reduce ongoing support costs.

- Implemented recommendations of the audit, including raising funds for additional equipment and assisted in hiring a new technical support service company to provide managed services of the workstations, network and central services, such as back-up, company-wide scheduling, etc.
